1.5: Tools & Equipment
In order to maintain quality of training uniformly across the country, DGE&T, New Delhi have prescribed the list of tools and equipment in the corresponding course curriculum of different trades. The procurement of tools & equipment shall be made as per the DGET approved list. All the tools and equipments are to be procured by July’2010 and Standing Committee inspection conducted within that period to ensure all the trades and units are affiliated to NCVT,New Delhi w.e.f Aug’2010.
1.6: Furniture
The requirement of furniture for operationalising above trades training in Industrial Training Institute has been prescribed by DGE&T, New Delhi. The procurement of furniture shall be made as per the DGET approved list.
1.7: Library
Institutional Library is an important aspect for developing & updating knowledge of staff & trainees of the I.T.I. The Written Instructional Materials developed by NIMI, Chennai, different Engineering Text/ Reference books & journals. Computer Software, LR materials, Audio visual aids, etc. are required to be kept in the Library with its proper furnishing. Adequate quantities of library furniture including books shelves, study tables, chairs, etc. are to be kept in the Library.
1.8: Dispensary
The Industrial Training Institute must have a dispensary with first-aid arrangement for the welfare of the trainees as per DGE&T norms.
